Great shock tactics (be warned!) borrowing heavily from an old online gag.

THE ART OF MAKING

Two beautiful films on craftsmanship with some gorgeous typography. Thanks to Adriana Gonzales (Semester 4, Comms) for this post.
The ‘Art of Making’ series aspires to display and highlight people who go against the spirit of today’s pessimism and desperation. They dare to dream and create with zeal and imagination. Armed with passion for knowledge and emotion, they attempt to combine the precision of science with the elegance and resourcefulness of art. We thank them wholeheartedly for their contribution.

TIME LAPSE-EARTH FLYOVER

Utterly awe inspiring. Enough said.

THE LAST 3 MINUTES

An example of the wonders of shooting HD video on the Canon 5D. Thanks Antonio Guerra (Sem 3, Miller) for this link. Beautifully designed transitions.
It is worth checking out the Making Of article.

SKATEBOARD STOP-FRAME

Clif Mitchell, semester 3 (Miller) found this nice stop frame piece. Photo sequences cut from magazines. I especially like the rough-edged quality.

HAPPENSTANCE

Congratulations BB lecturer, John Marsh, whose short film, Happenstance picked up a number of awards as a finalist in Tropfest 2010. If you see John around ask him about the production.
